A survivor of domestic violence as a teen wife and mother. I became compelled to assist in educating the public about the epidemic of domestic violence in every form whether it be physical, mental or sexual. Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women according to Violence Against Women, A Majority Staff Report," Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, 102nd Congress, October 1992, p.3.

It is my desire to help women recognize some of the early signs that lead to domestic violence.

• Constant insults
• Humiliation
• Threats
• Destroying property
• Controlling
• Accusations
• Intimidation  

 Domestic Violence Statistics as of 2012

Domestic Violence is the Willful Intimidation, Physical Assault, and or other Abusive Behavior Perpetrated by an Intimate Partner. 

Domestic Violence is the Most Underreported Crime.

Domestic Violence Homicides on the average, more than three women and one man are murdered by their intimate partner in this country.

Domestic Violence Victims lose nearly 8 million days of paid work per year.

Everyday, every few minutes, and every few seconds, someone is becoming the new face of domestic violence.  

The Remember My Name Project was created in October of 1994; a National Registry to increase Public Awareness of Domestic Violence Deaths.

On April 16, 2012 there were 86,710 calls on a National level to Domestic Violence Centers, reporting injuries. The numbers are not decreasing.

Every 9 seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten.

Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. Most often, the abuser is a member of her family.

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women – more than car accidents, mugging, and rapes combined.

Domestic Violence continues to be the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 to 44 in the United States.

WE MUST PRAY, PRAISE, AND SHOUT OUR WAY OUT.

The power is in us in Jesus name one victim at a time!
